While there is no secret formula for getting hired by a consulting firm, you can increase your chance of getting a consulting job through Networking. Networking is the best way for you to learn about the industry and for a company to get to know and evaluate you.

Use social media in your job search to connect with consultants. Chances are they went through the similar route of networking to get to where they are now. The success of a consultant comes down to a person’s ability to become the trusted advisor of the client, and relationship-building skill is a crucial component.

Also leverage help from consulting interview prep companies such as Firms Consulting, Management Consulted, Vocaprep to better prepare yourself during the recruitment.
