We are back again for another weekly round-up of consulting M&A news. This week we have lots to cover with big consulting companies like Accenture, Capgemini, and EY making some interesting purchases. We will be looking into them and some more deals from the week gone by. So, let’s get started!
#1. Capgemini acquires German business intelligence firm Braincourt
Capgemini has purchased Braincourt, a business intelligence and data science services company based in Germany.
Braincourt, which has its headquarters in Stuttgart, operates not only in Germany but also in Austria and Switzerland. The company specializes in creating business intelligence and data science solutions using vendor technology stacks from Atlassian, Board, Microsoft, SAP, and Tableau, among others.
The acquisition by Capgemini will help the firm benefit from Braincourt’s extensive experience in the design and implementation of advanced business intelligence, artificial intelligence, analytics, and data science solutions for optimizing business processes.
#2. Endava expands Australian presence with the acquisition of Lexicon
Endava, a global provider of IT services with close to 12,000 employees, has acquired Lexicon, an Australian digital consulting firm.
Lexicon, a company founded in 2016, assists corporate clients and scale-ups with achieving digital transformation and developing fresh digital solutions.
Endava’s acquisition of Lexicon will enable the firm in bringing a strong talent base across delivery, support and leadership. Moreover, the deal will help Endava abilities in several areas, especially in insurance and wealth management, where Lexicon has long-term client relationships.
#3. Point B buys ESG specialist Sustainable Business Consulting
National management consulting firm Point B has purchased Seattle-based environmental, social, and governance (ESG) firm Sustainable Business Consulting (SBC).
SBC, which was established in 2004, assists clients from various industries in creating their ESG objectives, key performance indicators, and implementation plans as well as communicating their sustainability initiatives both internally and internationally. The company has collaborated on initiatives involving climate and carbon emissions strategy, ESG strategy and goals, and external reporting with more than 240 clients.
The acquisition of SBC by Point B will increase its ESG offerings, specifically in the areas of climate action, supply chain risk, ESG reporting, regulatory compliance, and integrated strategy.
#4. Christ&Company ups its stake in Pawlik Consultants
Christ&Company, a consulting firm based in Berlin, has increased its stake in Pawlik Consultants, an international consulting firm with more than 400 workers in 15 nations.
Pawlik Consultants, founded in 1996 in Hamburg, specializes in people-focused strategy execution services. The consulting firm also offers training, recruitment, and learning & development divisions.
The deal will help the firm offer a more comprehensive transformation offering to all its clients.
#5. EY buys New Zealand-headquartered ServiceNow expert Red Moki
EY has purchased Red Moki, a technology consulting firm based in New Zealand that specializes in ServiceNow solutions.
Red Moki, a premier ServiceNow partner since 2017, specializes in creating and overseeing sophisticated automated workflows. The company serves clients in the government, financial services, consumer products, and telecommunications industries, among other sectors.
Speaking about EY’s acquisition, one of the officials stated that Red Moki’s expertise complements EY’s breadth and depth of technology and transformation consulting experience with leading organizations.
#6. Accenture buys Guidewire specialist Blackcomb Consultants
Accenture has purchased Blackcomb Consultants, a Chicago-based IT consulting firm that specializes in Guidewire platform solutions for P&C insurers.
Blackcomb, a Guidewire Technology Partner founded in 2011, has completed over 40 engagements for the P&C-focused software platform. The cloud-based platform utilizes AI and analytics to deliver solutions for underwriting, billing, claims administration, and customer relationship management.
Accenture’s acquisition of Blackcomb bolsters its capacity to assist insurance companies in utilizing technology such as artificial intelligence and analytics to enhance productivity and supply hyper-personalized services to its consumers.
